ANDERSON HOME
Vincent Moore slams back a shot of Captain Morgan, his twelfth in the last hour. He collapses onto Blake Thomas' bed as his friend opts to chug from the bottle.
"This was probably a bad idea," Vince says.
"I have to wholeheartedly disagree," Blake says, laughing as liquor dribbles down his chin. "We're college students. We should be getting drunk more than once every blue moon."
"Yeah, well Cyrus and Tina would probably disagree," Vince says.
Blake shakes his head. "They're on vacation. So what my legal guardians don't know, will not hurt them."
"Man, it's so weird hanging out with you here. I used to be here with Kelli all the time, but she's off in South Africa now..."
"Oh, I don't wanna hear what you did with Kelli in her room," Blake says, pretending to gag.
Blake stumbles forward and smiles. Vince rolls his eyes.
"Whatever," Vince says. "Hand me that bottle."
"Nope," Blake says, downing another gulp.
"Hey!"
Vince reaches forward and grabs Blake's arm, pulling him forward. Blake falls forward onto the bed, landing atop Vince. They stare at each other awkwardly.
"I think I spilled the rest of it," Blake says, finally.
"Oh..." Vince says, his voice trailing off. "That's too bad."
"Yeah...that's too..."
Blake surprises himself by suddenly kissing Vince. After a few seconds, he pulls back and rolls off Vince. Blake's face turns to horror.
"I'm so sorry," Blake says. "I didn't...I didn't mean to..."
"Shut up," Vince says, sliding toward Blake and wrapping his arms around him.
BALE & MADDOCK LAW OFFICES
Felicia Bale steps over an empty bottle of vodka as she enters Robert's office, finding him lying on his couch. She sighs and approaches, poking at his chest.
"Melissa, I just need a few more minutes," Robert mumbles, turning over on his side.
"Robert, get up," Felicia says. "We need to talk."
Robert slowly opens his eyes, finally realizing where he is. He sits up on the couch and groans. "What do you want, Felicia?"
"Aaron told me about you harassing him at his office," Felicia says. "This childish behavior from you has really got to stop."
"This coming from a woman who's trying to help my son gaslight me?" Robert says.
"No one is trying to gaslight you, Robert," Felicia says. "I want to believe you. I want to believe that you didn't molest our son. But you won't talk to me. You won't talk to anyone."
"Like anyone would listen to me."
"Well, we're not going to if you keep antagonizing Alec the way you've been."
"What is it that you want, exactly?" Robert demands. "You all but accuse me of being a pedophile, and then you lurk around my office doling out helpful advice like you're fucking Oprah Winfrey. Just pick a fucking side already, Felicia."
Taken aback, Felicia slaps Robert across the face. "You want me to think of you as guilty? Fine. You don't want to do anything with your life? Fine. I've tried being sympathetic toward you because of Melissa's death, but that ship has sailed. And if you don't get your shit together, you're not even going to have this joke of a law practice anymore."
Hearing a knock at the office door, Felicia and Robert turn to see a mousy man holding a large envelope.
"The door was open," the man says. "So I...I came in looking for Robert Bale?"
"He's right here," Felicia says, storming out the office.
Robert stands up and snatches the envelope from the man. "What the fuck is this?"
"You've been called before the judicial review board," the man says.
"Review board? What's the meaning of this?" Robert says, opening the envelope. "What in the hell? My license is being revoked?"
ANDERSON HOME
"We should...we should stop," Blake says, pushing away a barely clothed Vince. "You don't really want to..."
"Don't tell me what I want to do," Vince says, pulling at Blake's boxers. "I want you. I've always wanted you since we kissed in the hospital."
"You're drunk."
"So what," Vince says, pulling off Blake's shorts, followed by his own. "Do you have a condom?"
He licks Blake's neck, working his way down Blake's chest.
"Vince..."
Blake's protests quickly turn to moaning. He reaches his hand to the side of the bed, pulling open the top of his dresser drawer. He pulls a condom out of the drawer and tosses it to Vince.
"I hope you don't mind," Vince says, kissing Blake's lips again. "But I don't plan on taking things slow."
EMERALD SQUARE
Jessica Reyes takes a seat on a bench and tries calling Vince again. She wants to tell him that she finally went through with signing her divorce papers, but he's still not picking up his phone.
"Vince, it's Jess," Jessica says, leaving a voicemail. "Give me a call whenever you get this."
Jessica checks her watch, noticing how late it is. She sticks her phone into her purse and stands, opting to take a shortcut home. She moves past the fountain in the middle of the square and goes toward a nearby alley.
As she hurries through the alley, she slips in a large puddle and falls onto her back. Jessica cries out in pain and rolls over onto her chest before rising to her feet.
When she reaches down for her purse, she notices a dark red stain on the white fabric. "What in the..."
She sees a pair of legs sticking out from behind a garbage dumpster. She slowly creeps toward the dumpster, recognizing the man's clothes first. The second thing she notices is his face...
It's Father Grady.
"Oh my God," Jessica gasps, clutching at her mouth to keep herself from screaming.
Until she realizes the substance on her purse is blood. And that she, herself, is covered head to toe in blood. And that's when she's unable to stop herself from screaming.
