MARQUETTE COVE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Approaching his wife from behind, Michael Hanley taps Leslie on the shoulder. He is startled, however, when the woman turns around and reveals herself to be Denise Price.

"Oh," Michael says. "Mrs. Price."

"Michael Hanley," Denise says. "Finally, someone around here who can give me some answers instead of the goddamn runaround!"

"I don't have any answers for you, woman," Michael says. "For all that we know, you read about this in the newspaper and now you're pretending to be related to one of the heirs of the Hanley fortune."

"I don't want any of your damn money," Denise says, glaring at Michael. "I just want my husband."

"He's not your husband."

Denise spins around, finding Leslie emerging from Sean's room. She tenses up at the sight of Denise.

"That man in there is my husband," Leslie continues. "I have no idea what the hell is going on with all of this, but I'd like you to stop hovering around my husband's room."

"Girl, I'd suggest you quit talking to me like I'm a child," Denise says. "Because I will knock you, got it?"

Leslie steps forward. "Try me."

"Ladies!" Michael says. "We've heard Denise's alleged story about meeting Sean in Chicago and then marrying him in New York. We don't believe it, because there is no proof."

"Well if y'all crazy ass people would listen to me, you could hear what the hell I'm trying to tell you," Denise says, digging into her purse. "I had this faxed over from New York. My marriage certificate, and some of my wedding photos."

She shoves them equally into Leslie and Michael's hands, then steps back, hands on her hips and smug look on her face.

"Like I was saying, that is my husband," Denise says. "And someone had better let me fucking see him, and explain what the hell is going on here, or I'm about to straight pop off!"

ANDERSON HOME

Feeling slightly uncomfortable standing in the middle of Blake Thomas's bedroom alone, Vincent Moore smiles as his friend returns. Vince notices how startled Blake is to find Vince there.

"Hey, what's up?" Blake says, dripping wet from a recent shower. He's wearing only a towel, something which wouldn't have unsettled Vince when they first became roommates in college, but something that's slightly odd given their recent history.

"I just...came by to talk," Vince says. "But you're busy."

"No, I'm not busy," Blake says. "Let me get dressed."

Blake goes into his closet, tossing his towel onto the floor as he enters. He sifts through a pile of clothes as Vince sits on the edge of the bed, staring out the window.

"What's going on?"

"Jess stopped by."

"Oh?" Blake says, popping his head out of the closet. "What did she want?"

"To talk to me about divorcing Alec."

"Oh. That's...awkward."

"Not as awkward as me kissing her," Vince says, muttering.

Blake emerges from the closet now wearing a pair of boxers and a shirt. "Get out! You and Jessica again?"

"No! No, that is not happening again. It was just...it was weird, you know? It brought up all those memories of high school and everything and it was just weird."

"But you're over Jessica?"

"Completely," Vince says, unsure as to whether he's lying to Blake or even himself. "I think. You know what? Let's talk about something else. Like you dating my creepy stepbrother."

"He's not creepy," Blake says. "He's actually really sweet. But he's been busy with work and stuff lately. I haven't heard from him in a few days. And we're not technically dating, so..."

"You're just having sex."

"We're hooking up. That's it."

Vince shrugs. "Whatever. I'm not judging."

"You know what we need?" Blake says, crouching down next to his bed and reaching underneath it. When he stands again, he's holding a bottle of Captain Morgan.

Vince takes that in for a moment, then he grins widely. "Pour it up."

MARQUETTE COVE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Denise stares at the man she thought was Simon Price, completely unnerved to find out that he apparently had a life long before she met him. Not just a life, but more drama than she remembered in decades of watching The Young and the Restless.

"He...he thinks that he's your ex-wife?" Denise says, turning to Michael. "What kind of shit is this?"

"It's a little complicated," Michael says, still confused by Denise's presence. He kept close tabs on Sean while he was living in Chicago under an assumed name. Back then, Michael was still planning to have Sean return with new memories in order to have Sean hand over his part of the Hanley fortune.

That was before Derek Moore started playing games with Michael's plans.

But still, Michael knew nothing of this Denise woman or where she came from. Or, what she knew about Michael.

"It's more than a little fucking complicated!"

"Classy lady this one," Leslie says, rolling her eyes. "Can you leave? You're upsetting my husband."

"You're not my wife," Sean says softly, growing weary of repeating the same thing day in and day out.

"See?" Denise says.

"I don't even know who the hell you are," Sean says, ignoring her. "Michael honey, what's going on?"

"I don't, I don't know," Michael says. "But this hospital is seriously driving me insane. We need some other solution."

"What solution?" Leslie says, slightly apprehensive.

"I've spoken to Dr. Anderson about having Sean...or Elizabeth, or whatever, moved into the mansion with us," Michael says. "So that he can recuperate at home. Maybe he'll get better that way."

"I think that's a wonderful idea," Leslie says.

"Ain't no way in hell y'all are taking my husband from me!" Denise says, going to Sean's side. "Y'all are some fu —"

"There's of course plenty of room for you, if you don't want to have to continue staying at the Emerald Heart," Michael says, interrupting.

The color drains from Leslie's face upon hearing Michael's words. She whips her head in his direction, scowling. And while Michael knows he's about to receive hell from Leslie about this, Michael can't have it any other way.

This Denise development is troubling, to say the least. And Michael can't afford any more mistakes as far as Sean is concerned. Denise needs to be under his roof where he can keep an eye on her...and then eliminate her.

MARQUETTE COVE HIGH SCHOOL

"It's done," he says, standing in the darkness of the basement with his date. "I can feel it. He's growing stronger."

"That's good," his date says, pushing her hair back. "Once he's strong enough, then we'll finally be able to do what we've been asked to do."

"He'll be proud."

"Good."

"You're incredibly beautiful."

"Thank you."

"So incredibly beautiful in the night."

"Thank you, Christopher."

"No, thank you," Chris Server says, leaning forward to kiss Akilah Moore. Their kiss lingers, lasting as long as they choose to enjoy one another's lips. "Thank you, my Princess of the Night."
