Emerald Cemetery
"Kelli!" Vincent Moore shouted, racing towards his girlfriend.
Vince stopped running when he saw Kelli standing next to Blake, who was attempting to strangle
Alec.
"Blake, what the hell are you doing?"
"Vince, stop them!" Kelli shouted.
Vince grabbed Blake by his shirt and wrestled him away from Alec. Once Alec was free of Blake's
grasp, Vince shoved Blake to the ground.
"What the hell is wrong with you?"
"He's crazy, that's what's wrong with him!" Alec cried.
Kelli rushed to Blake's side to see if he was hurt.
"Are you okay?" Kelli asked.
Blake nodded that he was okay.
"Is he okay?!" Alec demanded. "I'm the one who was nearly strangled!"
"He didn't mean it," Kelli said, helping Blake to his feet. "You should know better, Alec. Blake just
lost his brother."
"I am so tired of that damn excuse," Alec said, sneering. "Every single problem he has is
because of him, not because of Thomas."
"Shut up," Blake said, sneering.
"Tom, Tommy, Thomas," Alec said, taunting Blake. "Let's go Vince."
Alec started towards his car. Before Vince followed, he glanced back at Kelli to see what she was
going to do.
"We're walking," Kelli said.
Vince fought back the urge to say something mean.
"Whatever," he muttered.
Vince jogged to catch up with Alec.
"You okay?" Vince asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Alec said. "He's just..he's such a...you know."
"Yeah, I know," Vince said, taking one last look at Kelli and Blake before climbing into the car.

Nicholas Brennan opened his eyes and surveyed his surroundings. He had no idea where he
was, or how he had gotten there. He was wearing the same clothes he had been wearing two
nights ago, when he and his girlfriend had gone to the school to pick up a bag she had left in
the gym.
"Alicia..." Nicholas moaned, struggling to regain his mobility.
Feeling his hand touch something wet and sticky, Nicholas slowly raised his hand.
"What the..."
Realizing that his palm was covered in blood, Nicholas began to scream.
Love is eternal. Life is forever.
Yet things shall always remain...guasti cose.
Marquette Cove High School
Alexis Lopez stood in the hallway, watching Ryan Phillips as he taught his English class.
During her free periods, she loved to pass by his room and watch him teach. Ryan was an
extraordinary teacher, and there was something about the way he taught that made Alexis
even more attracted to him.
While Alexis watched him, Ryan turned and saw her standing in the hallway.
Alexis smiled at Ryan. He smiled back.
Hallway
Vincent Moore and Alec Bale entered Marquette Cove High School and checked the clock
hanging on the nearby wall.
"We're late," Vince announced.
"Yeah, well we know whose fault that is," Alec muttered.
"Kelli," Vince said.
"Not who I meant."
"No, I mean...she's still with Blake," Vince said. "I think there may be something going on."
"Like what?" Alec demanded.
"I think there may be something going on...between the two of them."
Alec stared at Vince in shock.
Brennan Home
Nicholas stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel from the railing. He dried himself off
and wrapped the towel around his waist.
He was extremely lucky that his parents were out of town this week, otherwise he would have had
to explain the blood covering his clothes, and where had had been for the past two days.
And Nicholas didn't have an answer for either of those questions.
"Alicia...where are you?" Nicholas wondered aloud, staring at his blood-red eyes in the foggy
bathroom mirror. "What happened to you? What happened to me?"
Marquette Cove High School
Ryan excused himself from his class and stepped out into the hallway. Alexis exhaled and brushed a
few strands of hair out of her face.
"Alexis," Ryan said.
"Mr. Phillips," Alexis responded.
"Did you want something?"
"No, I was just passing by."
"Oh," Ryan nodded. "All right, I'll see you later then."
Ryan started back towards his classroom.
"Wait," Alexis said, stopping him.
"Yes?" Ryan turned back to Alexis.
"I wanted to talk to you about the paper that's due on Monday," Alexis said.
"Well, I'm free during "
"Sixth period, I know," Alexis said, cutting him off. "But I...I have a class that period. Can I meet you
after school?"
"I've actually got somewhere I have to be," Ryan said.
"I won't be long," Alexis assured him. "I can meet you in the parking lot, and we'll talk as you walk
to your car."
"Sounds good. I'll see you then."
Ryan smiled and returned to his classroom. Alexis returned his smile and started off down the
hallway.
Hallway
"Vince, be serious," Alec said. "Kelli isn't interested in Blake."
"I'm not so sure," Vince said. "They've been spending a lot of time together lately."
"Because his brother died."
"Yeah, I know, but...she and Thomas used to date. It's only natural that she'd be "
"Attracted to his brother?"
Vince sighed and leaned back against a row of lockers.
"I know that sounds "
"Crazy?" Alec interjected.
"Would you stop doing that?" Vince snapped. "I can finish my own goddamn sentences."
"Don't get mad at me," Alec said. "You're the one who's acting like a "
Before Alec could finish his sentence, Alexis cut him off by walking up next to Vince and saying
hello to them.
"Hey guys," Alexis said.
"Hey Alexis," Vince said. "Is...is Jessica around?"
"No," Alexis replied. "I think she has class now. I'm not sure."
"I'll see you two later," Alec said suddenly.
"Where are you going?" Vince demanded.
"Somewhere not here."
Alec walked away from Vince and Alexis, heading towards the stage crew workroom in the
basement.
"What's wrong with him?" Alexis asked.
Vince shrugged and walked away.
"Well, that was helpful," Alexis muttered.
Brennan Home
Nicholas finished tying his shoes and picked up the phone next to the couch. He dialed
Alicia's phone number, but no one responded.
"Where are you, Alicia?"
Nicholas hung up the phone and slid on his jacket, walking towards the front door. As he
opened the door and stepped onto the porch, he was confronted by two police officers.
"What's going on?" Nicholas demanded.
"Nicholas Brennan?" The first cop addressed him.
"Yeah. What's going on?" Nicholas repeated.
"You're under arrested for the murders of Alicia Reeves and Dale Fisk."
The second cop pulled out a pair handcuffs and turned Nicholas around so that he could
cuff him.
"You have the right to remain silent," The first cop continued. "Anything you say, or do, can and
will be used against you in the court of law..."
"What the hell is going on?" Nicholas cried.
"You have the right to an attorney..."
"Somebody tell me what's going on here! Alicia? Where is she?!"
"If you cannot afford an attorney..."
"Answer me!" Nicholas shouted. "Why won't you answer me?!"
Marquette Cove High School
"Are you sure you're okay?" Kelli Anderson asked Blake Thomas.
"I'm fine," Blake responded. "Really."
"I'll see you later then," Kelli said. "I've got class now."
Blake nodded and watched as Kelli left him alone at his locker.
"You're not okay."
"I know," Blake responded to the person standing next to him. "But I...I can't let her know yet."
"You can't let her know at all. She'll try to stop you."
"She'll want to help," Blake insisted.
"No, she won't. She won't want to help."
"Fine. Whatever," Blake muttered. "It will all be over soon. By this time next week, I'll have "
"Brought me back from the dead," Michael Thomas, Blake's brother, finished.
