HANLEY HOME

Previously, Michael romanced Vanessa and Felicia on separate dates. All other women were eliminated as Michael chose to impregnate Vanessa and intoxicate Felicia before making love to her. Unfortunately, both dates turned sour. His feelings for Felicia intensified to lie to Vanessa about the paternity of her child so he could pursue Felicia. In a surprise twist, Felicia was revealed to be Michael's biological sister. Now, will Michael choose his ex-girlfriend and the son the child she doesn't know that they have together…or his sister? Find out tonight!

Michael Hanley opened the door to his mansion and immediately met with police tape arranged inside the mansion. Frowning, Michael wondered exactly what had happened while he was away on business. He would question Vince about it later, once Michael had the chance to attend to all of his affairs.

Although, most of Michael's "business" involved leaving Marquette Cove to avoid interacting with anyone who knew that Felicia Bale was his sister. Now that he was back, Michael realized that he would have to face reality.

"Are you ready to make your decision?"

Michael turned to find Chris Harrison, the host of ABC's The Bachelor, standing in his foyer. Chris was carrying a single rose in his hand and extended it to Michael.

"Are you ready to pick the woman you want to spend the rest of your life with?" Chris asked.

"I'm ready to make a decision, Chris," Michael said. "And I have a feeling this might be the most shocking rose ceremony yet."

Chris winked. "I don't doubt it."

Felicia Bale sat in a bedroom, staring into a mirror. She was waiting to go downstairs to find out if Michael was going to be choosing her in the rose ceremony. Not that she wanted him to pick her, since they were related now.

"This is all very weird," Felicia muttered. "I don't even know how I've gotten here."

"All in due time, miss," Chris said, entering the bedroom. "You have to look your best for Michael, otherwise he won't pick you."

"But, I don't want to be picked!" Felicia cried. "Michael is my brother, we can't be in a relationship!"

"So you're going to forfeit the game?"

Felicia frowned. "Well, no. I have to look my best for the cameras, right?"

Vanessa Phillips stood in her own bedroom, holding her son, Eamon Phillips. Vanessa wiped away a tear as she thought about the fact that her husband, Ryan Phillips, was the father of her son. For months, she had believed that Michael was her child's father.

Now, Vanessa was still longing for Michael to fill the role of Eamon's father. She didn't know whether or not she could trust that Ryan wasn't the man responsible for driving Alexis Lopez to the brink of insanity by raping her and then forcing her to get an abortion.

"Are you hoping that Michael chooses you?"

Startled, Vanessa turned to find Chris now standing behind her. "I wish you would stop doing that."

"What do you think Michael's choice is going to be tonight…in the rose ceremony?"

"I don't know," Vanessa said. "But I'm hoping for the best for me and Eamon. He deserves the best, and Felicia just doesn't have what it takes to compete with that."

Chris turned away from Vanessa and seemed to be staring off into space as he smiled and extended his hands. "Who will Michael pick? Felicia or Vanessa? Find out next, in our most shocking rose ceremony ever!"

Love is eternal. Life is forever.
Yet things shall always remain...guasti cose.

Michael stood at the bottom of the stairs, holding a rose. He waited for either Felicia or Vanessa to descend the stairs, but he was first met with Chris who began to glide down the flight of stairs majestically. He winked at Michael as he reached the bottom of the stairs.

"Are you ready to make your decision?" Chris asked.

"Yes," Michael said.

"Then let us begin," Chris said, gesturing to the top of the stairs where Felicia was now standing, wearing a dark green dress. She slowly approached Michael as she walked down the stairs, and held out her hand for him to take.

"Michael, I've been waiting for this moment forever," Felicia said.

"Felicia…you're my sister," Michael said. "This is nauseating."

Felicia sighed. "I know. I'm just going to leave."

"Thank you," Michael said.

Felicia walked toward the door, while Chris frowned. This wasn't going to up the ratings and pull in that demographic of people who enjoyed watching NBC's Passions. Michael turned back to the stairs, where Vanessa was now standing.

"Is this what I think it means?" Vanessa asked.

"No," Michael insisted. "I can't be in a relationship with you…not with our child. I need to make sure that my children can't be influenced by my father or my sister, Valerie. I need no one to know that Eamon is my son."

"What?' Vanessa asked. "Eamon is…"

"Enough questions," Chris said, ushering Vanessa out of the mansion.

"I'm sorry, Vanessa," Michael said softly. "But I can't let you know that I'm Eamon's father. I've already gone to great lengths to keep my daughter Ariel, and her brother Eric, out of Marquette Cove. Unfortunately, Ariel seems to have pulled one of her own disappearing acts at the moment."

"Then you're content with leaving her alone with Ryan Phillips?" Chris asked, returning to the foyer after locking Vanessa outside.

"I'll have to be," Michael said. "I've already made sure that the charges against him were dropped, so he will be free to father Eamon until the time is right."

Chris opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by the sound of the front doorbell ringing. Michael paused while Chris opened the door, revealing Evan Marriott standing outside the doorway.

"Mr. Hanley?" Evan asked.

"I'm Michael Hanley," Michael said, presenting himself. "What can I do for you?"

"I'm here to let you know that the Lopez girl was locked up, just like you asked," Evan answered. "Dr. Collins said she won't be getting out anytime soon."

"Very good," Michael said. "Thank you."

As Evan turned to leave, Chris grabbed his arm. "You're working at the sanitarium now?"

Evan shrugged. "Seemed like the next logical step."

Evan left the mansion and Chris closed the door. He straightened his tie and turned back to Michael, wondering what he was going to do now that Michael hadn't chosen either of the women in the rose ceremony.

"If you don't want to end up with your child's mother or your sister, then who do you want?" Chris demanded.

May Parker stopped sweeping the floor in her kitchen when she felt a chill run down her spine. She hadn't felt something happen to her like that since she had left Marquette Cove, her first home, years ago. Of course, that was back when her name was Elizabeth Peterson.

"Elizabeth is dead," May spoke aloud. "I have to remember that."

May returned her thoughts to her husband, Alan, and continued sweeping the floor. Her husband was away on business, but he would soon be back, and if her home wasn't clean, then she would have to suffer the consequences.

It was the price she had to pay for betraying her first husband years ago. May regretted now that she had allowed herself to be manipulated by Alan, and that his manipulations led her to believe that her entire life was real…when it was in fact a lie. Her children were her own, but they didn't belong to the life she had made for herself.

So when Michael found out, the only thing she could do was to leave her home behind. Her husband's father was sensitive to her plight; he helped her crash the private airplane that was supposedly carrying her. He helped her leave her life behind and return to Alan, the man who was really responsible for the life she had.

"Elizabeth Peterson is dead," May repeated. "Michael has to continue to believe that, otherwise my life will be in jeopardy. And so will the lives of my children."
