REYES HOME

Alec Bale sat on the couch next to Natalie Reyes, his girlfriend's mother. Natalie Reyes poured Alec a cup of tea and offered it to Alec, hoping it would help calm his nerves. But Alec wasn't concerned about his own well being; he was concerned about Natalie.

Jessica was still missing and though Natalie had filed a missing person's report for her, it didn't appear as if the police had any leads so far. Not that the police ever really had leads.

"Don't worry," Alec said. "We're going to find Jessica."

"I hope so," Natalie said. "I just want my baby back home."

"I still think Vince might know something he's not telling us," Alec said. "I want to find out what he told Detective Kincaid."

"You really think Vince has something to do with Jessica's disappearance? That he might have taken her?"

"I'm not sure what to think now," Alec said. "I just know that I miss your daughter. I love her so much, Ms. Reyes."

"I know you do, Alec," Natalie said. "I trust that you will do whatever you can to make my daughter happy, assuming we're able to…when she is found."

Alec reached out to touch Natalie's hand so he could comfort her, but they were interrupted when they heard someone unlocking the front door. Both sat up on the couch as the door opened and Jessica entered the living room.

"Mi hija," Natalie gasped, rising to greet her daughter.

She rushed to the door and embraced Jessica, as tears began to form in her eyes. Alec joined them at the door, ecstatic that Jessica was back home.

"Jessica, where were you?" Natalie demanded, ending their hug. "We were worried about you, I called the police."

"I can answer that."

Alec and Natalie turned the doorway, where they found Vincent Moore standing. Alec glared at Vince and pushed past Jessica to confront him.

"I knew it!" Alec cried. "I knew you were the person who kidnapped Jessica!"

MADDOCK HOME

Melissa Maddock stood in the kitchen, drinking a glass of water when her daughter entered carrying a shopping bag. Erin Maddock set the bag down on the floor and started to remove a shirt from it.

"Hey honey," Melissa said.

"Check out this great shirt I got," Erin said, holding out the shirt for her mother to see it. "It was on sale."

"That's great, honey," Melissa said.

Melissa wasn't really looking at the shirt; she was too busy thinking about what she wanted to tell her daughter. She had to tell her about her relationship with Robert Bale, before anyone else could tell her about it.

Now that Robert's son and niece knew, it was only a matter of time before everyone else in Marquette Cove did. She wanted Erin to hear the truth, before it could get mangled in the town grapevine.

"I have to tell you something, honey," Melissa said. "It's about…someone I've started seeing."

"That's great!" Erin cried. "It's been forever since dad died, mom. I'm glad you're moving on."

"Me too," Melissa said. "But I want you to hear about this new relationship before anyone else can tell you."

"Why? What's going on?"

"The man I'm seeing is Robert Bale."

Erin frowned, not understanding what her mother meant. "You mean, Sara's uncle?"

"Yes," Melissa said. "He and Felicia are getting a divorce."

"Are you…are you the reason?"

"No," Melissa said. "There are a lot of reasons, Erin."

"Oh my God. You had an affair with Sara's uncle!"

"Erin, that's not how it happened."

"I can't talk about this right now," Erin said. "I have to go call Sara."

Erin picked up the bag and shoved her shirt into it. Melissa took her arm to try and stop her, but Erin swatted her mother's hand away.

"I can't believe you would to that, mom," Erin snapped. "I can't even believe you would do that!"

Erin ran out of the kitchen and up the stairs. Melissa tried to follow her daughter, but she noticed someone at the front door as she entered the foyer. Sighing, Melissa walked to the door and opened it.

Once she opened the door, Melissa saw that it was Hugh Rogers. She slapped him across the face again.

"Who the hell do you think you are?" Melissa demanded. "How dare you come to my house! Who gave you the goddamn nerve?!"

MARQUETTE COVE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vanessa Phillips calmly walked through the hallway that led to Ryan's jail cell, with her sister, Nikki Vicman, and brother-in-law, Marcus, trailing behind her. The guard opened the jail cell and told her she have five minutes to talk to Ryan, since visiting hours would soon be over.

Once the guard was gone, Vanessa lost her composure and slapped Ryan across the face. As he cried out, she slapped him again.

"Tell me where Eamon is!"

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Ryan demanded, rubbing his face. "What are you talking about?"

"Someone kidnapped Eamon," Nikki said. "And we know you hired someone to do it, so tell us where he is or we're going to the police."

"Eamon…Eamon is missing?"

Vanessa slapped Ryan again. "You know he is! The police are right upstairs!"

Ryan stood up and grabbed Vanessa's arm. "Listen up, woman. I know you might hate me right now, and that's fine. But if you hit me one more time I'm calling the guard and suing you for assault, got it?"

DUNCAN KINCAID & KIMBERLY BLACK'S APARTMENT

Anna Mitchell closed the door to Duncan Kincaid's apartment so they could have a discussion alone. When Anna realized that her daughter's cell phone was turned off, Anna figured that she was probably somewhere she shouldn't be.

As is turned out, it was true. Julia had come to visit her uncle. Even though Anna railed against Julia's father for attempting to keep her from Duncan, Anna was still slightly worried that some of what Joel said about Duncan was true.

Besides, he did spend time in jail. Anna wanted to make sure Duncan was completely on the up and up before she allowed her daughter to pay him regular visits.

"Can I get you anything?" Duncan asked.

"I won't be staying long," Anna said. "I'm here to tell you to stay away from my daughter."

Duncan laughed. "I guess Joel got to you too, huh?"

"I don't take orders from my ex-husband," Anna said.

"Well, then let me ease your worries," Duncan said. "I'm not a hardened criminal. End of story."

"No, not end of story," Anna said. "How do I know I can trust you to be around my daughter?"

"Because she's my family, and I love her. You know that, Anna."

"Do I?"

"I was only in jail for twelve years," Duncan said. "There were four years before that when I loved Julia like a father. Her own father was too busy trying to reconnect with his ex-wife to pay attention to her. Isn't that why you divorced him?"

Anna frowned. "I didn't come here to discuss my past with Joel."

"But that's what you need to hear about," Duncan insisted.

"What are you talking about?"

"How well do you know your husband?" Duncan asked. "Do you know how he solves his hardest cases?"

"I don't understand," Anna said.

"Do you know how he was able to put me behind bars?" Duncan demanded.

"Obviously, there was enough evidence against you."

"That's absolutely right," Duncan said. "There was evidence. Evidence that Joel fabricated himself."

EMERALD PARK

Ariel Hanley hurried through the park, attempting to find somewhere she could clear her mind. It had startled her once she found the two men in her room, attempting to take her back to her home. But Ariel wasn't interested in going home; she wanted to stay in Marquette Cove.

Her home was boring and dark, but there were all sorts of interesting people in town. There were all sorts of interesting people everywhere.

"Maybe that's it," Ariel said. "I need to leave Marquette Cove. I can go back to London, where I hired that guy to get rid of the real Ariel and her brother, Eric."

Ariel sighed, wondering if she had even given him enough money to make Eric and Ariel disappear. Maybe she would need to give them more money, to make sure that they'd keep her secret. That's how this world worked. When you had a problem, you used money to solve it.

"Or you kill them," Ariel decided. "I can go back to London and kill —"

Ariel was interrupted when the ground began to shake. She cried out as water overflowed from a nearby pond, and the surrounding trees began shedding their bark as if some invisible entity was tearing them apart.

"Oh God…it's happening."

Love is eternal. Life is forever.
Yet things shall always remain...guasti cose.

HANLEY HOME

Michael Hanley kicked the door to his bedroom open and carried Felicia Bale inside. He laid her down on his bed, then sat down next to her. He gazed into her eyes, then reached for the buttons on her blouse and began to unbutton them.

"Michael…what are you doing?" Felicia asked, slightly disoriented.

"Making love to you," Michael said. "Like you've always wanted me to."

"Making love…Robert, is that you?"

Michael took a deep breath, not wanting to react the slap in the face he had just received. Felicia thought he was her husband, she didn't want to make love to him right now, and she wanted to be in bed with Robert. Even after he had cheated on her with Melissa Maddock.

"Yes," Michael lied. "It's me, Robert."

Once Felicia awoke in the morning and realized that she had just had the best night of her life, she would know that Michael was the man she really wanted to be with. Soon enough, she'd forget all about Robert.

"Oh, Robert," Felicia said. "Thank you for coming back to me."

Michael finished unbuttoning Felicia's blouse, and then he leaned in and kissed her on the lips. Felicia began to tear the buttons on Michael's blouse, continuing to kiss him. The alcohol in Felicia's system allowed her to ignore the pain of not resting in her wheelchair.

She continued kissing Michael, thinking he was her husband. She was happy that he had come back to her, and that he was over his jealousy of Michael Hanley. Now she could show him how much she truly loved him, and he could do the same.

They were back together, and it was going to be an incredible night for both of them.

Valerie Hanley-Holden used her key to her brother's mansion and unlocked the door. She pushed the door to the apartment open and rushed inside, hoping that Felicia was in the living room with Michael still.

After running into Ariel and finding out that Michael was wining and dining Felicia, Valerie assumed the worst…that her brother was attempting to get Felicia drunk and seduce her. Valerie wouldn't have a problem with that if it weren't for the fact that Felicia's father was Kevin Hanley.

Which made her Valerie and Michael's sister.

Valerie hurried into the living room, finding only Felicia's wheelchair, a glass lying on the floor, and a near-empty bottle of scotch on the coffee table. But Michael and Felicia were nowhere to be found.

"Shit!" Valerie cried.

"What the hell is going on?" Robert Bale asked, entering the living room behind Valerie.

"Why are you following me?"

"Because I want to know what's going on," Robert insisted. "What's so important about stopping Michael and my whoring wife from sleeping together? It's not as if they haven't already done it."

"God, how dense are you?" Valerie demanded. "Michael and Felicia haven't slept together, you idiot!"

Robert opened his mouth to make a comment, but he was interrupted by the sound of laughing coming from upstairs. The laughing was followed by a loud moaning sound.

"Oh God," Valerie gasped. "We're too late!"

REYES HOME

"Did you pick today to become completely unstable?" Vince demanded. "Why would I kidnap her and then bring her home?"

"I don't know," Alec said. "But I'm sure there's a —"

"Alec, stop," Jessica snapped. "Vince didn't kidnap me anymore than you did. He's the one who found me."

"I'm confused here, Jessica," Natalie said. "Vincent found you?"

"Yes," Jessica said. "I don't know exactly what happened, I was going to visit him the other day and then I blacked out. When I woke up, I was stumbling toward his house."

"We should get you to a doctor," Alec said.

"I already did," Vince said. "Jessica's been checked out, she's fine, trust me. The visit was paid for on Michael's insurance, so everything has been taken care of."

Natalie frowned. "Well, thank you Vincent. For finding my daughter."

"But maybe you should leave," Alec insisted. "We can take care of things here with you."

"Alec, stop it!" Jessica cried. "Vince is the one who helped me, so he can stay here as long as he wants!"

"It's okay," Vince reassured her. "I have to get going, anyway. I'm just glad you're home safe and sound."

Vince gave Jessica a hug and kissed her on the forehead. He smirked at Alec while doing so, and then he said goodbye to everyone once more before he left the house. As Jessica closed the door, Vince stood out on the porch deciding where he should head next.

But once he remembered the conversation he had with Antonio earlier at the Hanley mansion, Vince knew exactly where he needed to go.

EMERALD PARK

"This can't be happening!" Ariel cried. "It just…I can't let this happen!"

The energy needed to send a search team after her was causing tears in the entrances between Ariel's reality and the reality she was currently in. Which meant that there had to be others in Marquette Cove looking for her, besides the two guards she killed earlier.

Ariel swore out loud once more and rushed away from the scene that was currently occurring in the park. As she ran, she found herself slamming into someone else who was running in the opposite direction.

Ariel tripped, knocking over the guy she ran into. As he fell, Ariel accidentally fell on top of him.

"Oh, sorry," Ariel said.

"It's okay," Tim Black said, staring back at Ariel. "It was…it was fault. I wasn't looking where I was…jogging."

"No, it's my fault," Ariel insisted, sitting up.

"Well, in that case, you can make it up to me by letting me stand up," Tim said.

"Oh! Of course."

Ariel stood up, letting Tim climb to his feet. He was wearing gym shorts and a sleeveless shirt, while also carrying an iPod. Ariel smiled at him. Ariel looked Tim over, deciding that he was definitely attractive.

"Sure, why not," Ariel mumbled.

"Huh?"

Ariel gazed into Tim's eyes, which caused him to blink. Tim felt all of the blood in his body rush to his head as he suddenly felt overwhelmingly attracted to Ariel.

"Do I…do I know you?" Tim asked.

"You will soon enough," Ariel said, taking Tim's hand. "Take me someplace a little more private."

MARQUETTE COVE POLICE DEPARTMENT

"Let her go," Marcus said.

Ryan reluctantly released Vanessa. "I don't see why you can't believe me. Everything was fine between us until…oh, goddamn it."

"What?" Vanessa demanded.

"I know who took Eamon," Ryan said. "And I can't believe you all are too stupid to have figured it out."

"Who the hell are you calling stupid?" Nikki demanded. "I know you did not just call me stupid."

"It was Alexis!" Ryan cried. "Who else would be sick enough to steal our child? Who else is crazy enough?"

"That's disgusting," Vanessa said. "First you sleep with her, and now you accuse her of stealing Eamon? You're the one who's sick, Ryan."

"Just think about, Vanessa," Ryan said. "Alexis thinks she's pregnant with my child. She hates you, she even told you that in California."

"You don't have to listen to him," Nikki insisted. "The police can make him talk."

"Let's just hear him out, Nikki," Marcus said.

"Marcus, now is not the time," Nikki snapped.

"No, it is," Marcus said, pulling Nikki away from Vanessa. "This isn't about your vendetta against Ryan. It's about Vanessa getting her child back."

"And trust me, there's no way I hired someone to kidnap Eamon," Ryan said. "I love him like my own…I mean, he's my son. I love him."

"Then tell me where he is," Vanessa said.

"I'm sorry," Ryan apologized. "I can't do that…I don't know where our son is."

DUNCAN KINCAID & KIMBERLY BLACK'S APARTMENT

Anna's eyes widened. "Are you saying that Joel lied to get you put in jail?"

"That's exactly what I'm saying," Duncan said. "The police reports, the witness accounts, the coroner's reports, all of those had to be fabricated to put me behind bars. I've been checking up on things, and they don't add up."

"This is ridiculous," Anna snapped. "Joel is a good cop. He wouldn't commit perjury to —"

"Put the man he thinks raped and murdered his wife behind bars?" Duncan asked. "Are you sure about that?"

"I don't believe a single word of this," Anna said. "Both of you are trying to turn me and Julia against the other, and I'm not going to put up with it."

"I can prove it," Duncan insisted.

"Oh, really? How?" Anna demanded.

"Well…I can't right now, but I will be able to soon," Duncan promised.

Anna nodded. "Of course. You'll be able to prove it soon."

"Yes, I will," Duncan said.

"I want you to stay away from my daughter," Anna said.

"Anna, please," Duncan protested.

"No," Anna said. "I want you and Joel to stay away from my daughter. I'm not going to let her get mixed up in this ongoing feud between you two."

Anna turned to open the door. As she left the apartment, Duncan angrily slammed the door behind her. Once again, Joel was railroading him and turning his family against him.

"I'm not going to let it happen again," Duncan said. "If Joel wants a war…then he's got one."

MADDOCK HOME

Hugh retaliated by slapping Melissa across the face. He pushed his way into her house and closed the door. "I told you last time never to make the mistake of hitting me. Obviously, it went in one ear and out."

"Ow!" Melissa cried. "I didn't…I didn't mean to."

"I'm here for my payment, you little bitch," Hugh said, grabbing Hugh's arm.

Hugh grabbed Melissa by her arm and dragged her into the living room, where he tossed her onto the couch. He unbuttoned his jacket, revealing a gun that he was carrying. Hugh pointed the gun at Melissa.

"And for that little display, I think I'm going to start charging you retroactively," Hugh continued. "For all of the money you didn't make me over the past fifteen years."

"Please, you can't do that," Melissa said. "I'm sorry, it won't happen again!"

Melissa reached for her purse, which was lying on the couch. She unzipped the purse and removed the money she had taken from the bank for Hugh. Gripping the money tightly in her hand, she held it out for Hugh to take.

"Please, just take it. Just leave me and my family alone."

Hugh snatched the money away from Melissa and slapped her across the face again, this time with the hand he was using to carry his gun. Melissa cried out again as Hugh left the house. Melissa didn't bother to stand and close the door; she only buried her face in her hands and started to cry.

HANLEY HOME

"We're too late for what?" Robert demanded.

Valerie ignored Robert and raced up the stairs, heading for Michael's bedroom. Robert opted to follow Valerie, hoping that he would get some answers once Valerie stopped Felicia and Robert for whatever reasons she had.

Robert didn't even know why he was there. The last thing he wanted to do was see his soon to be ex-wife in bed with his worst enemy. But a part of him still cared about Felicia deeply, and if there was any truth to Valerie's comments that they hadn't yet slept together…Robert needed to know the truth.

He caught up with Valerie as she stepped into Michael's bedroom and cried out her brother's name, telling him to stop what he was doing.

"What the — what the hell are you doing in here, Valerie?" Michael demanded, sitting up on the bed to glare at his sister.

"I can't let you go through with this," Valerie said.

Michael was now without his shirt, sitting next to Felicia who was propped up on the bed's pillows. She wasn't wearing her blouse any longer, and he hair was tousled from making out with Michael before Valerie interrupted them.

"Valerie?" Felicia asked. "Why are you…Robert? Is that…where am I?"

"God, you got her drunk, Michael?" Valerie demanded. "That's disgusting."

"Shut up and get out, Valerie," Michael snapped.

"You're right it's disgusting," Robert chimed in. "Both of you disgust me."

Michael smirked. "How embarrassing it must be for you, Robert. To see your wife in bed with another man…much like she had to have felt when she walked in on you and Melissa."

"Don't you try to make this about me and Melissa," Robert said. "You two have been shacking up for months!"

"No…" Felicia said, her voice trailing off. "I haven't been sleeping with…oh my God, Michael! What are you doing?!"

Felicia quickly grabbed her blouse and started to slide it back on, while Michael watched her with a confused look on his face.

"No, Felicia," Michael said. "Don't get dressed! They can leave! Valerie and Robert are leaving."

"I'm not going anywhere," Valerie said. "And you're a goddamn liar, Michael."

"Excuse me?"

"You and Felicia haven't slept together!" Valerie cried. "Felicia would never sleep with you!"

"Michael admitted it himself," Robert insisted.

Valerie rolled her eyes and shot Robert a look of utter contempt. She couldn't believe how stupid Robert was, especially if he only believed that Felicia had slept with Michael because Michael said it was true.

"God, you really are an idiot, aren't you?" Valerie asked, laughing. "Michael could tell you that he caused the Holocaust and you'd believe him, wouldn't you?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Michael didn't sleep with Felicia, Robert," Valerie said. "I know that for a fact. I know that for a fact, because —"

"You have no idea what goes on in my personal life," Michael said, cutting her off.

"— I know for a fact that Michael didn't sleep with Felicia because he had to get her drunk just now to do it!" Valerie snapped. "He had to get her drunk because Felicia would have never slept with Michael while she was sober — not even if someone held a gun to her head!"

"Why are you doing this, Valerie?" Michael demanded. "Felicia and I have made love countless times, and Robert needs to accept that. Felicia has already accepting the fact that he's sleeping with his law partner!"

"Why, Michael? Because it's a lie!"

"You never could care about anyone but yourself, could you?"

"Felicia didn't sleep with you, Michael!" Valerie cried. "She wouldn't sleep with you because — goddamn it, Michael, she's our sister!"

ANDERSON HOME

Blake Thomas sat at the kitchen table, attempting to read one of the novels he stuck on his summer reading list. It was called Revelations, and was actually written by Tom King, a local writer.

He often had readings at the Emerald Café, but they weren't popular. Neither was Revelations, which was possibly his lowest selling book. Blake was amazed that he was even able to publish his second book, St. Laurent.

"God, all of the characters in this damn book are so bland," Blake muttered. "Why am I reading this again?"

Blake set the book down on the table and stood to get something to drink from the kitchen. It felt good to be at home, even though it wasn't the home he grew up in. He couldn't live in that home anymore, at least not until he was able to find his last surviving relatives and convince them to move to Marquette Cove.

Luckily, Kelli's parents were letting Blake stay with them for the time being. They were even supportive of him when he was arrested for Damon Johnson's murder, despite the fact that Blake actually had murdered Damon.

But no one knew that except for the demon that goaded Blake into doing so to resurrect his brother, Michael Thomas. Thomas…Blake missed him so much. But ever since Blake attempted to stand up to the demon, Thomas had been put into a coma.

He was currently lying in the basement and Blake's old house, but the only person who could actually see him there was Blake.

"This is driving me crazy," Blake muttered. "I need to stop focusing on other things and find some way to bring my brother back to life…something that doesn't involving slitting my own wrists to do so."

Hearing a knock at the kitchen door, Blake welcomed the interruption and walked to the door to see who it was. To his surprise, it was Vince. He couldn't possibly be there to see how Blake was doing after his release from jail.

"Kelli's not here for you to bother her," Blake said. "Maybe you could come back later."

"I didn't come to see Kelli," Vince said. "I came to see you."

"Oh…really?" Maybe Blake had been wrong about Vince. "Well, that's nice of you."

Vince rolled his eyes. "I'm not here to talk about your stint in jail, either."

"Then what are you here for?" Blake demanded.

"Your brother," Vince said. "Michael Thomas."

"What about him?"

"I know that he's still alive," Vince answered.

Blake's eyes widened. "What the…what the hell are you talking about?"

"I know that you brought your brother back to life," Vince said. "And I know exactly who helped you do it, too."
